So I'm working on this story that i just began last night. It seems boring at first and it's the first story that I have written that isn't a fantasy or sci-fi. It's also in the first person, my second attempt at this. So enjoy the not completed chapter one!

My name is Haley Autumn Coleman. Ita��s my birthday today; I am officially seventeen years old. Some say seventeen is the last year you are in your parenta��s control. My closest friend Raven is eighteen and his parents still tell him how to run his life. But I guess ita��s okay because he is still in High School. Some people when they turn eighteen their parents let them do pretty much whatever. Even seventeen some kids have the freedom of an eighteen year old. Ia��m one of those kidsa�� I wish I wasna��t.
All my friends are hear celebrating my birthday for me. Vick, Charlie, Sydney, Steven, Val, and Dylan. Even Kate is here even though she despises me still. Raven isna��t though, I wish he was. I wish this past year that happened would just disappear. Everything would be back to normal. But normal meant no more Vick or Val, normal means no more Dylan.
I sit there while everyone is setting everything up. Wea��re at Ravena��s parents house. Theya��re so sweet. Theya��ve helped us all out so much, especially me. They have a really nice house. Ita��s three stories, including the basement, with five rooms and three bathrooms in it. They have a nice lawn outside with a built in waterfall pond. They have three dogs: Scruffy, Jewels, and Pete. Scruffy is a German Shepherd, Jewels is a golden lab mix, and Pete is there little boxer. Theya��re all so lovable.
My thoughts are always wondering. Ita��s a sad day, even though ita��s supposed to be cheerful. Everyone is working so hard. Vick and Kate are setting up the tables outside. Twenty round tables with yellow sheets, brown skirts, and red fan folded napkins. Five chairs around each table and water glasses flipped upside down in front of the napkins. In the center of the table were three balloons: yellow, brown, and red; tied together and held down by a rock. The wind made the balloons flutter and bump against each other. This set up was more for a wedding reception rather than a birthday, but Ia��m not going to complain. I know theya��re trying to make this birthday very special.
I look over to my right to see Scruffy lie next to Dylan. He has a pad of paper and a pencil in his hand. He is probably writing some great idea that just came to him. He is a wonderful writer. Every word he writes has beauty in it. I want to go over and see what hea��s writing but I just sit here. Keeping to myself, keeping alone. My mind comes back into focus and I see him looking at me. I turn my head blushing, realizing I was staring awkwardly at him. I can hear him chuckling to himself. Dylan.
I stand up and walk away to go see what everyone else was doing. As I climbed up the wooden steps to the top balcony, I could smell Mr. Fischer, Ravena��s dad, hamburgers and hot dogs cooking on the grill. The smoke blowing down into my face made my mouth water. I was really hungry but I wasna��t about to ask him for a little bite. He smiled at me and waved when he saw me approaching up the stairs. I smiled back while swiping the hair out of my eyes.
a�?Would you like to have a hot dog right now Haley?a�? he asked lifting up a plate with a hot dog sitting on it.
I just shook my head and walked passed him into the house. He understands enough right now to not be offended by me. Still, I feel bad being so rude. When I walked in through the screen door I took off my shoes and continued my way towards the kitchen. There in the living room was Val and Charlie. Val was playing the grand piano, while Charlie just sat there watching her. He isna��t gawking at her talents or beauty. Shea��s a wonderful player and very beautiful and everyone enjoys watching her play. Even Vick would stop flirting with me just to hear her play. It was magical.
I stood there for a while myself watching her play, listening to the music fill my heart with golden light. No doubt she would be playing me a song for my birthday. And I will love her every minute for it. When she finished, Charlie and I clapped our hands. She looked over and saw me and her eyes brightened.

I just smile and shake my head and then walk off. I continue into the kitchen. Thata��s where Mrs. Fischer, Ravens mom, is at. Her potato salad smelt so good! She is the best cook I have ever met. Ia��m so lucky to have her.
Shea��s humming, like she usually does when she cooks. Ita��s soothing and I could stand there for hours without her noticing me just so I could hear it, but my foot steps are too loud and her hearing is way too good. She turns around and sees me there leaning up against the wall with my eyes c
By the way for everyones information this first chapter takes place a year after her real story takes place. Haley is the average girl with a nice home, parents, school, and neighborhood. When her mom gets in a car crash and her father drinks himself to death she runs away to the city in the most dangerous part. She also refuses to speak, and that continues in the first chapter. She kind of is a robot not feeling emotions. Guess i should of said all this earlier woops!

I have this - use it for overnight horseshows - it's great, but would like to know if there are places to get them IF something should go wrong. I've had this for over 20 years or more - it still looks like new and works incredibly.

This thing bakes, grills, frys, griddle, shishkabobs, and when done the base and top are used as a kitchen sink since the burner is removable. It all folds up into itself with a carry handle and its made out of aluminum so it is light to carry.

If it is no longer made, it NEEDS TO BE! Any manufacturers out there - even Coleman needs to wake up and do this again. The patent # is 3,791,368


We recently purchased a roadtrip grill because it can be folded for easier storage and transport. However, when we put it together, the pull handle seems to be on the wrong side as the lid latch falls open due to gravity. Does anyone else have this problem? Did you contact Coleman? Did they do anything?
The only thing you put together is to put the wheels on with the bolts they supply and slide in the pull handle. There is no way for the consumer to put it together backwards.


I have a new Coleman Tailgate grill. The kind that folds sown real easy. Anyway, I got a new tank & used the gas hose that came w/ it & the gas won't come out of the burners. I put a small bottle on their directly & it works fine. So I bought a new hose. Same problem. Then I took the tank back, got a new tank, & same problem. What is the deal. The small bottle works fine. I have replaced 2 hoses & two propane bottles. I'm at a loss.

That can't be right about small bottles only. Why would they include a long rubber hose for hooking up big bottles?
