I was told at my local gun range that "small frame" hand guns are not allowed. This apparently included my Kel-Tec 9mm. Sig Sauer .380 ACP and Bernardelli .22 LR. I can accurately hit a target with all of them from 25 yards away. I thought small frame meant guns like the derringer.

I heard that the U.S. military is thinking about changing over their M-16 families for something else. Same with handguns, like I heard that instead of issuing the normal Beretta (M9), they might start giving out Sig Sauer's. If I said anything incorrect, well, just ignore it and try to answer the overall question. Thanks

What is the difference between a Sig Sauer P220 and a Sig Sauer P226 centerfire handgun?

What's the better handgun? For an action movie, persay?

does anyone else share this? i seem to have a strange obsession of guns, i can name any gun, its calibre etc etc etc, i havnt grew up around firearms, although i used a sig sauer p220 when i was 5, and i own 9 semi auto A cats, 5 smg's 17 handguns, and 3 shotguns, anyway share your thoughts

What is the most popular handgun used by law enforcement today? I've seen Glocks, Sig Sauer, and H&Ks. I do not see too many M1911s any more. Does everyone carry 9mm?

I want a new handgun, I absolutely LOVE the way Kimbers look, very sleek and sexy, but I hear that the insides are as quality made as others like Colts and sig sauers, I like the way colts look alright if its mixed with a 1911, but still.

do u guys like SIG SAUER, i am looking @ getting something from them, probably in the 1911 series, or maybe a P220 Match or a P226 X-Five

do any of u own or shoot them??

tell me everything 10 pts best answer

How in the heck do i take off the attachable flashlight my bf bought for my handgun? It's a XTI Procyon flashlight on a Sig Sauer hand gun.

i am looking at attending the police academy here in san diego california and was told that i need to buy a gun before the academy starts i am looking at the sig sauer p229 .40 but not sure if its allowed at the academy. if not allowed does any body know which handguns are permitted need help

i think most of them issue glock 22's or glock 23's....

What types of special features do those handguns have that would justify such a high price? What can those handguns do that a Springfield XD-9 or a CZ 75 couldn't do? I've noticed that a lot of people treat Sigs (and H&Ks like they are the best handguns ever made). Are they? Is the price simply high because of the exchange rates between the dollar and euro? Or are they really superb guns? The reason why I ask is that I'm doing research for my first handgun buy. Please list specific reasons.
Give me more info. What types of high quality materials do they use? Will it outlast a glock?
Yes, you do need to say more because your answer doesn't pinpoint the info that I asked for. There are many guns that are very reliable that cost less. Explain how the trigger is better. Plus, if someone wanted dead on accuracy, couldn't they just buy a match grade barrel for their gun?

What's the better handgun?

Sig Sauer 226 .40S&W, has anyone experianced any problems with a Sig?

Which manufacturer makes the best handguns? In terms of quality, reliability, cost, etc. I'm looking into buying one. Thanks!

What do you think is a more reliable weapon, the Sig Sauer P226 Blackwater or the Glock 19? Which one is more accurate?

Is this gun just as good as the Beretta 92? I plan to buy a handgun when I turn 21 in a couple months for defense and range purposes. I want a 9mm. I am getting tired of all my assault rifles. Thanks.

the 9mm handgun Leon uses in RE4, looks extremely familiar, and im still looking for what brand of gun it is. i don't know if its ruger or Sig Sauer. either one it could be. if anyone knows, let me know.
and whatever you say, it is no where near a desert eagle 50. its a 9 milimeter pistol. the desert eagle dosnt show up in that series

I've had my eye on a sig-sauer 226 9mm with 20 round capacity.

For accuracy, harsh environmental conditions, round capacity, power, ect.,

What is the best all-around handgun in your opinion?

ok i bought my first airsoft gun and it is a kwc(sig sauer) p226. it wasn't firing properly so i took it apart and took out the spring and spring guide. know i did this watching a video on you tube and then realized he was using a real handgun and mine didn't work the same. i can't put the spring guide back inside and i cant take the barell out. please help me. tell me how to put it back in

What I'm looking for is a airsoft rifle..

- That has to be between the 35 and 50 dollar range
- It has to have good distance and accuracy
- I dont care if its spring or electric ( good battery ? )
- Has a scope with it ( I don't care about laser and flashlight )
- Can hold atleast 20 or more bullets

I'm not going to really go out to war and kill someone to death lol. I really want a airsoft rifle is because whenever me and my friends have a airsoft battle I have a Handgun ( its really amazing and its been working very well for me ) but I want a good airsoft rifle that won't break and can go some pretty nice distances ( im not asking for a rifle that will get a bullet stuck inside my friends' body )

I was looking at the following weapons.... M16, M14, and Sig Sauer 552 Replica Double Eagle M82 Airsoft Gun.

I'm a Sig Sauer fan so if you fine a good Sig Sauer then thank you ( you may get best comment )

I have an old ACP 1911, but am somewhat ignorant of guns. I want a big caliber automatic. I see brands like Kimber, H&K, Sig Sauer, Glock, Kahr, etc. I also see 45s, 40s, 10mm, 9mm, etc. I have decision paralysis! Any suggestions would help.
I just want one for "personal protection". I"m not really a target shooter or hunter.

I'm looking to get a new handgun for conceal and carry. I've had limited shooting experience with the Sig and Beretta and tons of experience with a Glock. Would like to hear some opinions out there of these 3 brands. I know they're all top quality, but just curious about other's experience with them.

How would you recommend selling a handgun? I have a Sig Sauer P220 .45 cal with night sights. I am trying to get as much as I can for it. It cost originally about $900 (w/ tax) and I am trying to figure out the value and find out where it would be best to sell.

I know a lot of officers go with the Beretta 9. If you have another what is it. I own a few handguns and hunting rifles. My favorite handgun is my Glock .40, I am thinking of buying a Sig Sauer what do you think?
Captain, I see you like the hand cannon I like to call the .44 Thanks for your input, i am a former service man so I love to shoot.

So, I want to buy a handgun (it's a Sig Sauer, P226) and this is my first time buying a gun. I know that before they let you buy it they check your records. I guess this is to make sure you're a stable person. So my question is, if I go through this process, would they put it in my record that I own a gun? Like, can anyone find out whether I own a gun by just looking at my record? I'm just asking because, I'm applying to medical school, and I know that the admission people look at my record (I guess to check if you have a history of felony, or not!). So, will they immediately see that I own a gun? This is obviously not good for my admission. Since, doctors usually don't like guns (because guns kill people, right?).

Ive heard a lot about the Sig Sauer P228, it looks pretty cool but I want other opinions......is there something better?????

I know that I want to purchase a .40cal handgun. I like the Springfield XD and Sig Sauer P250 and Sig P229. Which do you think is the best first pistol? Do you recommend something else? My price range is $500-$800. Thanks.

I'm trying to pick out my first concealed handgun. I've narrowed it down to the following. My gun will be .40 cal.

-Sig Sauer P250
-Sig Sauer P229
-Springfield XD
-HK P2000

Hi I am getting a job in armed security. What type of handgun do you reccomend that I get? I like the model 22 glock or a sig sauer. any other suggetions?

Thank You in advance

Recently I was shopping a small local firearms dealer that I hadn't previously been in. The clerk told me that they normally deal with law enforcement and concealed carry civilians. Anyway, I was trying to price a Sig Sauer 226 with no luck, but noticed a used 225 with a pretty large suppressor attached tagged at a little over $500.

My question is this: are suppressors legal on civilian handguns? I am in Houston, TX (Harris County) and I would like to get the gist of the law without all the legalese if possible.

As a side-question, what are the merits of having a suppressor on a handgun like this? I can imagine that it's pretty neat to fire, but are there any practical applications? My only thought is that it might be nice to not blow my eardrums if I ever need to fire it inside.

I recently had the pleasure of using a Sig Sauer 226 9mm pistol at a local range, and have been considering a handgun purchase for a while. I probably won't rush out a buy one, but I like to know what I might expect to pay. It looks like a new Sig will be around a thousand bucks, and that's probably out of my price range.

Does anyone know a decent place to look for this pistol used in Houston, TX? Are there better suggestions on a good pistol? I would be using the pistol for target-shooting, and keeping it at home for some amount of defense. I've tried several models of Glock and found the weight to be strange; I prefer the construction of the Sig that I used, but haven't really had too much experience with pistols.

I have a Bushmaster AR-15 rifle that I bought recently and keep in the trunk of my car. But I'm thinking about buying a pistol sidearm that I can carry with me, with a concealed handgun license of course...lol. I have never shot a .357 magnum pistol, but I've heard from other people that it's a very powerful round.
I'm saving up for it and I already have 3 choices of handguns. Would you recommend a Sig Sauer .357, a revolver in .357, or a Glock pistol in .357? What are the pros and cons of the .357 round?
I would like to hear your answers and thanks for helping me.

I can't make up my mind and want someone to do it for me, please. :)

A few months ago I picked up a new Sigarms 1911 pistol, which is one of the nicest handguns I've ever owned. Match grade components, Novak night sights, checkered front strap and mainspring housing, custom rosewood grips, etc.. Overall, it's very attractive and well made.

As much as I like 1911's, I have to admit newer designs such as the Sig 220, for example, are probably more reliable and therefore a better choice for personal protection. To be honest, nearly all the 1911 pistols I've owned have had problems at some point. Usually it's feeding or ejection issues.

Now here's the kicker: I got this Sig at an awesome price, probably at or below wholesale. It's still unused and I can easily make $300 profit selling it. So what would you do? Any compelling reasons to keep it? Sweet gun, but only 6+1 capacity. What newer designs have similar ergonomics to the 1911? Thanks for your help.

looking for people who have shot or own a Sig handgun id like your opinions thanks.

Does anybody know of the company that made integrated laser site for a sig sauer handguns. It was originally on the cover of Guns and Ammo or Handgun between 1995 and 1998. it had built in hand grip controls that controlled between red and IR lasers. the laser was internal right below the barrel and you had to send in the gun for machining. at the time they were only selling to gov and law enforcement. i cant find the company online anymore.
It's not Laser max.
thanks

I have a Sig Sauer P 230 I am selling. I have no idea what to ask for it. It comes with all paperwork, case, holster, 2 clips, gun lock, case lock. Its about 13 years old. How can I find it's value?
