Winner Goes To Ravens!!! Go Ravens!!!! Haha!
Oh Yea Btw All This Pridictions Was Based On Me Looking At Every Team Schedule & Deciding Who Won That Game I Didnt Guess These Standings Hope Every1 Like & Have A Great Day!!!!!!!
two teams many feel have alot of talent and are capable but are playing terrible football right now.
Redskins are a 2-4 team with losses to 3 winless teams and the easiest schedule so far in the NFL. There's no way any team in the NFL should be under .500 with that schedule they plaed.
The Titans losing a 59-0 to the Patriots was pathetic. No NFL should lose that bad and be down by 45 at halftime. This was the biggest blowout I've witnessed in the NFL. Also got beaten by 20+ in games against the Colts and Jaguars. That 13-3 record last season is looking more and more like the fluke I thought it was. Theyre an 0-6 tteam and already doubled last seasons loss total
who do you think is worse?
1.Indianapolis Colts- since struggling to win weeks 1 and 2 they've dominated.
2.New Orleans Saints- won with their high powered offense and underrated defense in games this season.
3.New York Giants- playing well on both sides of the ball and in the trenches.
4.Minnesota Vikings- hard to find any flaws in this team right now.
5.Denver Broncos- they are 5-0 and for a reason. Great defense and Orton has thrown only 1 INT all season.
6.Cincinnati Bengals- big wins over the Steelers and on the road at the Ravens. Without a miracle play by Denver on opening weekend could be 5-0.
7.Atlanta Falcons- have looked dominant at times this season and are playing great on offense and defense. Will challenge for the NFC South.
8.Philadelphia Eagles- besides one bad game against the Saints have dominated their opponents this year
9.Chicago Bears- Jay Cutler finally gives them a QB they've been searching for for a while and have played wonderful offensively and gotten it done on defense.
10.New York Jets-I know they lost yesterday but I still feel they are the best 2-loss team in the league. Have a favorable schedule the next few weeks.
Your thoughts on my list?
I would go...
1 Baltimore (I dont think theyre the best team, but are playing the best on both sides of ball in general)
2 NYG (the Most Complete team in NFC, maybe NFL. Despite 200yrds to Dallas. Before Tuck left game Dallas avg 3.3 yards per carry, after Tuck was tripped and left game, dallas avg 9.4)
3 Indianapolis (The Saints north)
4 Saints (the Colts south)
5 Vikings (I honestly have no idea what they REALLY are, i know theyre a good team, but One miracle play falls incomplete and theyre not even in this conversation)
6 NYJ (love their Defense, but passed everything thats being said, they have not run the ball all that well or consistently, ..and passed all the flowers being thrown at Sanchez (who i love), he is just a Rookie, sooner or later, that will factor in)
7 Broncos (frauds... Dal, NE, SD, Bal, Pitt, Wash, SD, NYG, KC, Indianapolis <--- Thats their upcoming game schedule GOOD LUCK!)
Aaron...
The reason noone talks about who the Giants, Ravens, Colts, have played. Is because Those teams.. Especially the Giants, Ravens, and Colts. Is because those teams have History. The Giants, Colts and PAtriots, Steelers, have won more games over the passed 4 years than any teams in the NFL. Those Teams have nothing to prove. The Ravens have been a winning team for awhile, The Giants and Colts , the same. Denver has not. You assume the Colts and Ravens and Giants will beat the sucky teams, because theyre that good, and you dont hold that against them because they have pedigree. Denver does not.
denver broncos is my team and they have it pretty tough this year expecially after rookie coach Josh McDaniels traded our franchise quarterback Jay Culter. We play the redskins, the cowboys, the giants, the patriots, the colts, baltimore, the steelers, and the eagles. along with our rivals the raiders, the chargers, and kansas city... what do you think?

With week 1 almost over we have gotten a "glimpse" at what some of the teams are truly capable of. I know there are still another 16 weeks of the regular season to go, but why not make predictions now and see how accurate they were when the end of the regular season rolls around. So come on, let me hear your predictions.
AFC-
North:
1.*Baltimore Ravens (12-4)
-Joe Flacco is coming into his own. With Ray still leading the defense, look for another top 5 defense finish.
2.^Pittsburgh Steelers (12-4)
-They will battle it out all year with the Ravens for division leader. In the end though the Steelers are the one's who catch the unlucky break for division winner.
3.Cleveland Browns (5-11)
-The Browns need help just about everywhere.
4.Cincinnati Bengals (3-13)
-I still don't see how people can say Palmer is a top 5 QB. He does not do well under pressure. The defense is horrendous.
East:
1.^New England Patriots (12-4)
-With Brady back and Randy, Joey, Wes, and Ben on offense this team will be hard to stop. The defense is also starting to get younger, while at the same time not missing a beat.
2.New York Jets (8-8)
-Sanchez will play the role Flacco did a year ago: game manager. The defense and Thomas Jones will be the main reason the Jets finish with this record.
3.Miami Dolphins (7-9)
-With the NFL's hardest schedule and the Atlanta whooping today, it just doesn't look like a promising year for the 'Fins.
4.Buffalo Bills (6-10)
-Trent Edwards is just too inconsistent and with T.O. most likely causing him a headache later in the year, this team will fall apart.
South:
1.^Tennessee Titans (11-5)
-The Titans looked sound against the Steelers. They actually passed the ball this game and it worked out well. Look for the rushing attack to once again be in the top of the league and the defense is going strong, even without Haynesworth.
2.^Houston Texans (9-7)
-Finally a finish above .500. Today just wasn't a good day for the Texans. Look for them to rebound in the coming weeks.
3.Indianapolis Colts (8-8)
-There's just not much left in the tank. The Jags D isn't a pushover, but c'mon, 14 points with one of the NFL's top O's. The clock is starting to wind down on the Colts.
4.Jacksonville Jaguars (7-9)
-With almost no receivers (Holt is starting to slow down) it'll be a looonnnngggg year for the men from Jacksonville.
West:
1.*San Diego Chargers (13-3)
-With Merriman back this defense will once again be nasty. With Philip Rivers becoming a top quarterback and Vincent Jackson becoming a top receiver look for this offense to be nearly unstoppable. Oh, did I forget to mention LT is back to his old self, Antonio Gates, Chris Chambers, and Darren Sproles?
2.Kansas City Chiefs (7-9)
-This team is really starting to improve. 27 points against the Ravens D is pretty damn hard to do.
3.Denver Broncos (5-11)
-Today was pure luck. Kyle Orton isn't the answer in Denver and the offense is lackluster now with Jay gone and the D doesn't look that much better.
4.Oakland Raiders (3-13)
-Same old, same old.
NFC-
North:
1.^Green Bay Packers (11-5)
-Aaron Rodgers and the offense are going to be good just like last year. The D will do a hell of a lot better this year, pushing the Pack into the playoffs.
2.^Minnesota Vikings (10-6)
-Exactly how much left does Brett Favre have left? Week 9-10 maybe? Adrian Peterson can't keep putting the team on his shoulders.
3.Chicago Bears (8-8)
-The receivers are going to have to step it up, or the Bears are looking at a .500 season at best.
4.Detroit Lions (2-14)
-Calvin Johnson can't do it all by himself on offense and Ernie Sims can't do it all by himself on defense.
East:
1.*Philadelphia Eagles (11-5)
-No one knows how long McNabb will be out and Kolb most certainly isn't the answer. When McNabb returns though, look for this team to once again be dangerous.
2.Dallas Cowboys (9-7)
-Romo proved today that T.O. wasn't needed. But once again, the Cowboys fall apart in December.
3.New York Giants (9-7)
-The running game can't do it all. The receivers are going to have to step it up. The defense will bring hell like usual.
4.Washington Redskins (5-11)
-There are just too many problems with this team. Quarterback, receivers, offense line. The defense will no longer carry this team.
South:
1.*New Orleans Saints (14-2)
-If today was just a demonstration then I am scared to even imagine what this offense is truly capable of. And if the defense decides to play a little this year (unlike last year), then the Saints will be near impossible to beat.
2.^Atlanta Falcons (12-4)
-The offense is once again looking solid and the defense has stepped it up too. They will definitely be in the race for top record in the NFC.
3.Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-10)
-The defense just isn't looking impressive anymore and the offense is once again subpar.
4.Carolina Panthers (4-12)
-Jake Delhomme just needs to call it quits before he ruins the Panthers season....ag
I tried to make bold predictions, and take into consideration the parity in the NFL. The top 10 teams are rarely the same year to year. So keep that in mind.
1. Pittsburgh Steelers- They are very well rounded and they know how to win. The easy schedule helps.
2. New England Patriots- The defense will be mediocre, but I just have so much respect for Brady and Belicheck.
3. Green Bay Packers- They will make a huge leap this year, I don't see many weaknesses here, maybe the secondary, but that is nitpicking. They'll have a great offense and front 7.
4. Dallas Cowboys- They will either be very good or very bad, and I'm betting without T.O., Romo will be much improved, with the chance to pass the ball to the open guy and not worry about getting T.O. his touches. They will be "wide receiver by committee," meaning all their wrs will contribute, but none will stand out. Witten will have an enormous season though. And their D is underrated.
5. San Diego Chargers- So much talent, on offense and defense. And they have 6 guaranteed wins a year.
6. Philadelphia Eagles- I had them lower, but their are just too many weapons there, their offense will be one of the best in the league, and their D will be serviceable.
7. Houston Texans- Every expert says they have a shot at breaking out, but none seem to have the balls to predict it. I say Schaub stays healthy and their offense is the second best in the league. Andre Johnson is one of two or three wrs in the league who can dictate the course of a game. Similar to Philly in a way, sick offense, solid defense. Big year for Houston.
8. NY Giants- I'm a bit worried about their lack of receivers, and its not like Eli can compensate for them with his QB skills, he is far from spectacular. But their defense is one of the best and their o-line along with their backs keep them in the playoffs.
9. Atlanta Falcons- Obviously with Ryan improving, so will the team, but I just don't see a huge leap. Their schedule was very easy last year, and it is a bit tougher this season. I say they improve, but not by a lot.
10. Tennessee Titans- Similar to NYG, Great o-line, running game, and defense, but the passing game is a serious concern. I think the loss of Haynesworth will hurt them. And honestly, to me the d is a bit overrated, its good, but not elite.
11. Minnesota Vikings- I don't know, Favre is looking pretty good, but can he really last the whole year at an elite level? I say no, but if he does, they are a top-5 team.
12. Indianapolis Colts- They barely sputtered through the first half of the season last year, and I just don't think they're a dynamic team, but very solid at least.
13. New Orleans Saints- They've got a ton of offense, but I'm not sure how many games they will win by just trying to outscore people.
14. Chicago Bears- They will be fine receiver-wise. Cutler makes everyone he plays with better, but I think their defense is very overrated and it is a very tough division.
15. Arizona Cardinals- They have to show me they can be consistent, I have little faith in an aging Warner to last the season.
16. Baltimore Ravens- They are very old across the board, I think it will be a somewhat disappointing year for them.
17. Seattle Seahawks- They will bounce back nicely, but no running game and questionable defense, plus the NFC is very deep in quality teams.
18. Carolina Panthers- They can run like crazy, but I have absolutely no faith in Delhomme and a QB that sub-par makes it hard for the rest of the team to run smoothly.
19. Cincinnati Bengals- I actually think they could surprise some people. People forget how good Palmer was before his injuries, if he is healthy the whole year (I think he will be) then dynamic qb + very good receivers = a rebound season for the Bengals. And their D isn't as bad as people think.
20. Miami Dolphins- Last year they won 11 games with a 4th place schedule. Now, they have one of the toughest in the league. I think that makes all the difference here.
21. Washington Redskins- Their defense is very, very good. But they have Campbell at QB, below average receivers, an old running back. Oh, and did I mention a terrible offensive line?
22. San Francisco 49ers- I think they will be about the same as last year, a team you've always got to worry about, but doesn't end up being a serious playoff factor.
23. Kansas City Chiefs- People are seriously overreacting on their whole situation. They won't be good, but Haley helps them a lot, and people forget, though they didn't win many games last year, they were always a tough team to play.
24. Tampa Bay Buccanears- Do they have any skill position players on their offense who would be starters on the Patriots, Saints, or Texans? Maybe Bryant? I just don't think they have the talent to consistently win games.
25. Jacksonville Jaguars- MJD is a stud, and their passing game will be a big improvement with the o-line and wr additions. B
26. NY Jets- Very good defense, people underrate it. But I think Sanchez will struggle early on, and their wr depth is weak.
27. Detroit Lions- Their defense and o-line are the problems, but I think Stafford will have a commendable rookie year, maybe not a Ryan or Flacco type year, but he'll be solid. I think they have a good foundation for the future, and I am a big fan of Jim Schwartz, reminds me of Mike Tomlin in his first year.
28. Oakland Raiders- I actually think Russell will make improvements, and Mcfadden will turn into a stud, but there are just too many question marks across the board here.
29. Denver Broncos- Terrible defense + Great offense = 8 wins. Terrible defense + Mediocre offense = Last place in the West.
30. Buffalo Bills- T.O. is subtraction by addition, he is a distraction and is seriously getting up there in age. And the defense and o-line are god-awful.
31. St. Louis Rams- Steven Jackson will win three games all by himself, but unfortunately, he is all they have.
32. Cleveland Browns- Do I need to explain this? Terrible on offense, terrible on defense.
I decided to take a break from yahoo answers for a few months. I was getting tired of all the trolls and haters in the bball section. But I think I'll start coming on more often now that football is starting then basketball in a few months. Good to see ya Koolish.
You are right, they "had" one of the best defenses. They lost their best player and MVP candidate. Did you forget about that?
They Have to Have one the Championship that Season, no excuses Patriot Fans!
For Me They Are, In Order:
1958 Baltimore Colts - A Roster Full of Hall of Famers Led by Johnny Unitas, the Greatest Quarterback to Ever Play the Game. The 1958 Colts Won the Greatest Game Ever Played, the NFL Championship Game Over the Favored NY Giants in the First Ever NFL Sudden Death Over time Game and the First Nationally Televised NFL Game. Just three words: Unitas to Berry.
1959 Baltimore Colts- On Paper Maybe the Better Team with the return of 58's HOF Line Up the Team was Never Challenged and easily defeated, once again, the NY Giants for their second straight NFL Championship. They fall to second only because the 58 Squad gets extra points for playing in and winning, the Greatest Game Ever Played.
1985 Chicago Bears- Yes I hated them. Everybody outside of Illinois Hated them. But what can we say? They were great. They beat people up. They dominated for one season and were gone like smoke in a breeze...
1986 NY Football Giants- This team started off good and got better and better as the season progressed. By the time they reached the play offs they were big blue monsters and they destroyed and ate an excellent San Francisco Team
1972 Miami Dolphins- So they had a weak schedule. So they squeaked out a win in the Super Bowl. They won 'em all. Every Game. That counts for something.
Feel free to disagree and argue all you want. Hell, it's football. Just remember the rules. Ur 'best ever' has to have won the most important game of the Season. The Championship.
You're all forgetting that the NFL existed before the Super Bowl! A lot of Great Football happened in those years and to write that off because you're too young to have seen it is silly. Look at the history! And, Sorry Flanders, The Pats can't be on the list because they lost, were soundly beaten, in THE MOST IMPORTANT Game. And the Ravens, I too am a fan, I'm from the Balto Area, but there's no way to put them on the list.
And in losing the Super Bowl the Patriots were BEATEN BADLY by the New York Football Giants. Beaten so badly one has to wonder if the rep they came in with was real, or hype. Remember this "Unbeatable" team was given more than they could handle by the Ravens earlier in the Season, and had to rely on some questionable officiating to remain unbeaten. No, the 2007 Patriots don't get and don't deserve an exception to the Have to Win the Championship Rule...
here is mine
AFC
1. Steelers-easier schedule then pats, so they sneak into #1
2. Patriots- brady is back, but with one of the toughest schedules, it may not be enough for #1
3. Colts- strongest in the AFC south, will recover this year
4. Chargers- pathetically weak division, which they will easily win
5. Ravens- very strong contender, but the steelers are just that much better
6. Titans- last year went extremely well, but they lost too many players to stay at the top.
NFC
1. NYG- the best in the division, and the conference
2. Carolina- tough division, but they are still the best in it
3. Minnesota- with brett farve running the show, things should go better for the vikings offense(i hope)
4. Arizona- a very good offensive team in a pitiful division
5. Philly- They really deserve to be much higher, considering how good both the offense and defense are, but NYG isnt gonna let up
6. Atlanta/Green Bay- i think atlanta will sneak in by their offense...but aaron rodgers is improving, and id really love to think we'd get to see green bay vs minnesota
AFC North-
Ravens 9-7 (They won't be as good as last year but still have talent and not a hard schedule)
Bengals 4-12 (Schedule is wayyy too much for THEM to handle...not a good team....)
Browns 7-9 (Not a bad team but the QB situation is tough)
Steelers 13-3 (Not only are they the champs...but they also have a pretty easy schedule.....)
AFC South-
Texans 10-6 ( A schedule they can handle and seem to be getting better)
Colts 11-5 ( Always been a good team....will make the playoffs...but won't go anywhere)
Jaguars 6-10 ( Though people think they are gonna have a good year...I disagree)
Titans 11-5 (Obviously not as good as last year but will return to the playoffs)
AFC East-
Bills 8-8 ( Don't have much to say for this team)
Dolphins 2-14 (Sure, they had a good year last year...it was a fluke...they will suck yet again)
Patriots 11-5 ( A pretty easy schedule...but just because Tom Brady is back doesn't mean they are gonna win 14 games)
Jets 7-9 (Suck town)
NFC North-
Vikings 9-7 (They are good....but will be average)
Bears 11-5 (Jay Cutler doesn't solve all of the problems...but Bears will be much better)
Lions 6-10 ( Better with Stafford....but that really doesn't matter)
Packers 9-7 ( Just as good as the Vikings.....)
NFC East-
Eagles 9-7 ( Not as good as people are expecting)
Giants 7-9 ( Will have a bad season....just calling it)
Redskins 7-9 (Just as bad as the Giants....)
Cowboys 11-5 ( Going to the playoffs....no doubt)
NFC South-
Falcons 11-5 ( They are gonna beast it once gain....no ushc thing as a sophomore slump for Ryan)
Panthers 13-3 ( Panthers want some massive revenge)
Saints 9-7 (Brees is beast...but he shall miss the playoffs)
Bucs 7-9 ( Not good anymore....)
NFC West-
Cardinals 11-5 ( Some games are kinda up for grabs)
Rams 6-10 ( Rams suck and continue to suck...no change in the team)
Seahawks 5-11 ( A struggling Seahawk team....no help from Matt)
49ers 3-13 ( They gonna be really bad!)
Some of these predictions might not make sense in your head or just at all with standings. But this is how I feel. We shall see.

Bills 9-7 Great WR core
Dolphins 6-10 Intense schedule, Wildcat stops working
AFC South
+ Texans 10-6 Improving O, D needs work
Jaguars 9-7 D needs work, great O line +running game
Colts 8-8 Without Marvin and Dungy this team loses its intensity
Titans 6-10 Realise just how vital Haynesworth was to their D
AFC West
+ Chargers 9-7 Made up of ancient people, mediocre team
Chiefs 7-9 Cassel has a good year, along with Dwayne but D is bad
Raiders 6-10 A fast WR is not a good WR disfunctional team
Broncos 4-12 Terrible offseason moves, they WILL do this bad
AFC North
+ Steelers 12-4 Great D, Lose in Divisional round playoffs
W Bengles 9-7 Rebuilt lines, can be a VERY suprising team
Ravens 6-10 Lost Mason, Suggs, and Ryan Sluggish O, good D

NFC East

Falcons 7-9 Purely Mediocre
Bucs 3-13 Are in Rebuilding mode
NFC North
+ Packers 10-6 Great Offense with much improved defense
Vikings 9-7 You NEED a QB to make real noise
Bears 7-9 Cutler has no weapons ok O line, harder then in denver
Lions 4-12 Certainly took a step foward
NFC West
+ Cardinals 11-5 could go far if they play with heart, but unlikely
W Seahawks 9-7 A truly OK team W/O as many injuries
49ers 8-8 Still have QB, CB, and D issues
Rams 3-13 in Reuilding mode
Look For the Redskins, Jags, Bengles, Texans, and Packers to make much unexpected noise.
Playoff Seeding:
AFC 1- Steelers NFC 1- Saints
2- Patriots 2- Redskins
3- Texans 3- Cardinals
4- Chargers 4- Packers
5- Jets 5- Giants
6- Bengles 6- Seahawks
And Yes Each Conference DOES have 128 W and 128 L. Thank you. Please comment.
AFC East
Patriots-12-4 (tough schedule, but Brady's back, and defense is finally healthy)
Jets- 8-8 (Good coach, great defense, but not a very great QB situation with Sanchez and Clemens)
Bills- 6-10 (They didn't get a lot better from last year, except T.O and that's it, bad coach, bad offense)
Dolphins- 5-11 (Clearly a tough schedule, Pennington might not have a great year, he may never bounce back from the playoff game against the Ravens)
AFC North
1. Steelers- 10-6 (SB champs, and they still have a great defense, but their offense still needs some work)
2.Bengals- 9-7 (They have improved a lot, they lost houzmenzadah, but they added a lot more to help Carson Palmer and that offense looks pretty good)
3.Ravens- 7-9 (They're a lot worse this year, they lost a lot of defensive players and they need more weapons for Flacco to succeed)
4.Browns- 6-10 ( Bad QB situation, bad offense, but that defense is getting better)
AFC West
1. Chargers- 11-5 (This is a very bad division, also the chargers have a great offense, and Merriman's coming back on defense, and they also drafted a very good DE with English)
2. Cheifs 8-8 (This team will improve with Haley coaching, the additions of Cassel, Vrabel, and Jackson will help this team on both sides of the ball but they will never get over the loss of Tony Gonzales)
3. Raiders 6-10 (The Raiders keep seemingly improving every year, this year isn't their breakout year but watch out for them in maybe 2 or 3 years)
4. Broncos 4-12 (They lost Cutler, the added Dawkins and other good players but the loss of a franchise QB will never put a team over the hump)
AFC South
1. Colts- 11-5 (You would think the loss of Tony Dungy would make this team horrible but you need to remember who is playing QB for the colts, Peyton Manning is a very great and stable QB who can make bad teams into playoff teams)
2. Texans- 10-6 ( I know every year people say this is gonna be a breakout year for the Texans and I believe that this is their year, their QB situally I believe is finally solved, they have a improving defense, and they have Andre Johnson to throw it to!)
3. Jaguars- 7-9 ( This team needs a world of improvement from last year, but Jones-Drew is a consistent back who will help the jaguars win a few games this year)
4. Titans- 2-14 ( Kerry Collins won't have the same year, and the loss of Albert Haynesworth is a huge blow to that defense)
AFC playoff teams
1. Patriots (12-4)
2.Colts (11-5)
3. Chargers (11-5)
4. Steelers (10-6)
5.Texans (10-6)
6.Bengals (9-7)
NFC
NFC East
1. Eagles 13-3 (Mcnabb now has more weapons then he's ever had and even though the defense lost Dawkins, the defense will hold up)
2. Giants 8-8 (The Giants still don't have any veteran receivers who can be dominant deep threats, and the offense will struggle)
3. Redskins 8-8 (Defense is now great with Haynesworth, now only if they could have a better offence, they need more Touchdowns.
4.Cowboys 6-10 ( It's not that I hate the cowboys it's just that they lost T.O, and I don't favor Roy Williams being a better receiver than T.O)
NFC North
1. Vikings 12-4 (Great defense, phoenominal running back with adrian peterson, and if they got Favre who knows what they could do!)
2. Packers 10-6 (Great offense, they've done good in the offseason to sure up the defense.)
3. Bears- 8-8 ( They got Cutler but they still don't have any weapons for him, aging defense but they can still get the job done)
4. Lions 2-14 ( This is pretty Obvious they are bad, Stafford won't start this year but they pull out some wins this year)
NFC West
1. Cardinals 10-6 ( mostly Everyone on the team is back and they're ready to make another run)
2. 49ers 9-7 ( the addition of Crabtree will help their offense and they will have a good defense, but they'll just miss the playoffs)
3. Seahawks 7-9 (Hasselback is back but suprisingly this division will be tough and they will not get enough wins to make the playoffs)
4. Rams 5-11 (This year will be an improvement for the Rams but they are still a mediocre team with a mediocre offense and defense)
NFC South
1. Saints 12-4 (They have made their defense better and this year they'll be back in the playoffs with their offense leading them)
2. Falcons 10-6 (The Falcons found a franchise QB with Matt Ryan, great running game, alright defense, and they will be a much better team with Tony Gonzales)
3. Panthers 6-10 ( Very tough schedule, Delhomme is running out of fuel, Peppers will likely not have a good season after trying to hold out and they really only have a good running game)
4. Buccaneers 5-11 (This is a rebuilding year for the bucs and they need it, losing so many vets and they won't rebound this year)
NFC playoff teams
1. Eagles (13-3)
2.Saints (12-4)
3. Vikings (12-4)
4. Cardinals (10-6)
5. Packers (10-6)
6. Falcons (10-6)
Playoffs: I don't how the entire playoff schedule works so work with me
AFC Wild Card
Chargers Def Beng
THE AMERICAN FOOTBALL CONFERENCE
AFC SOUTH:
colts - 12-4 (seed 3)
texans - 10-6 (seed 5)
titans - 8-8
jaguars - 7-9
afc south summary- the afc south is giong to be a much stronger than years past (scary). The texans are now the second best team now that the titans don't have big al. The problem is that everyone in the division can't win, sorry jags!
AFC NORTH:
ravens - 13-3 (seed 1)
steelers - 9-7
bengals - 6-10
browns - 4-12
afc north summary- remember in 2006 when the ravens went 13-3? what did they have then that they don't have now? oh, right, they had a bad quarterback. the steelers won't rebound too well just like the last superbowl. the bengals don't have t.j. and he's half the reason palmer was so great. the browns suck.
AFC WEST:
chargers - 12-4 (seed 2)
broncos - 8-8
chiefs - 8-8
raiders - 4-12
afc west summary- the chargers will win the division no doubt, and the second seed in a tiebreaker over the colts. the broncos and chiefs are both decent, but broncos are going down and chiefs are going up. the raiders will suck as usual.
AFC EAST:
patriots - 10-6 (seed 4)
dolphins - 9-7 (seed 6)
bills - 8-8
jets - 5-11
afc east summary- patriots will win only because the dolphins have such a tough schedule. I'd like to believe that the bills will do good, but they are just a team that exists, they complete the 32 team format and give the nfl a few good games a year. the jets will be better on defense, but suck on offense with sanchez at the helm.
AFC PLAYOFFS:
texans at patriots- texans win 27-17
dolphins at colts- colts win 34-27
texans at chargers- chargers win 29-10
colts at ravens- colts win 17-14
colts at chargers- colts win 24-21
afc playoff summary- the texans win the franchises first playoff game ever. the patriots are stunned, but after a year of sitting at home during the playoffs, they just can't deliver. the dolphins lose to the colts in a shootout, but the dolphins just don't have enough offensive firepower. the texans play the chargers and lose in the only game of the playoffs that is uncompetitive. the colts beat the ravens on the road, driven by the prospect of a superbowl in caldwell's first year. the colts win in san diego and head to the superbowl. Antonio gates under performs in the game which leads to a loss. antonio gates averaged 9 receptions for 112 yards and a touchdown a game. by far the best postseason by a tight end. He is the key to chargers victories but only has 5 catches for 68 yards this game, with one costly fumble.
THE NATIONAL FOOTBALL CONFERENCE
NFC SOUTH:
falcons - 12-4 (seed 2)
saints - 10-6 (seed 6)
panthers - 6-10
bucs - 4-12
nfc south summary- Matt Ryan tears it up and the saints get the playoff berth they've always deserved. the panthers just can't match last seasons performance and live up to the hype. The Bucs are just going to suck this year, its hard to explain...
NFC NORTH:
Vikings - 11-5 (seed 3)
Bears - 9-7
Packers - 8-8
Lions - 3-13
nfc north summary- the vikings are still on top, but not for long, they're about to go into a period of being a bottom-barrel team. The bears will improve with Cutler, but he won't have the weapons on offense he had with the broncos. the packers are about to become a great team. The lions.... well, they improved!
NFC WEST:
Cardinals - 10-6 (seed 4)
Seahawks - 8-8
49ers - 7-9
Rams - 1-15
nfc west summary- the cardinals deserve a lot more respect now, and they STILL don't get it. The seahawks are better if Hasselbeck is healthy, but not a playoff team. The 49ers are on an upward trend, they start out 5-3 and finish 2-6. the Rams take the lions spot as the worst team in the league.
NFC EAST:
Eagles- 13-3 (seed 1)
Giants - 10-6 (seed 5)
Redskins - 9-7
Cowboys- 5-11
nfc east summary- the eagles will be monstrous this season, i just know it. the giants are always a good team, and they actually manage 10 wins without burress. Bradshaw steps in nicely for ward with 7+ touchdowns as a backup. The redskins are improved with big al, but it doesn't show in the win loss column because of a few close losses. The offense needs a little push in the offseason. The cowboys are about to have an off-year.
NFC PLAYOFFS
Giants at Cardinals- Giants win 27-21(OT)
Saints at Vikings- Vikings win 44-42
Giants at Falcons- Falcons win 28-14
Vikings at Eagles- Eagles win 14-7
Falcons at Eagles- Eagles win 23-20
nfc playoff summary- The giants win because of a costly interception by kurt. and the vikings beat the saints in a shootout, the surprising mvp of the game is tavaris jackson, who throws for 2 touchdowns and rushes for 2. The Falcons shatter all hopes of a manning bowl with a great performance by ryan. the eagles beat the vikings because of some great running by westbrook, who runs for over 125 yards and receives 8 passes for 100+ yards. The Eagles head to the superbowl after The falcons commit 6 turnovers, two by mat
Just want to know some opinions. Here's mine.
AFC East: Patriots. This all comes down to Brady. The supporting cast is better and deeper than it was in '07 but will Brady be able to successfully return at 100%? Even if he doesn't this division is pretty weak since the Fins have a very tough schedule. I think they will be be a better team with a worse record than last year.
AFC North: Steelers. I predict a sophomore slump for Flacco.
AFC West: Chargers. Not a great team, simply better than the rest. Hopefully the return of Merriman will spark the bolts defense.
AFC South: Colts. Manning's comments on the coaching does not concern me. After all who is really calling the plays on offense. I'll give you a hint, he is not on the sidelines.
AFC Wildcard #1: Baltimore Ravens
AFC Wildcard #2: Houston Texans
NFC East: Eagles. The giants without Burress just has not been the same team. The cowboys will continue to be a disaster and don't even get me started on the skins.
NFC North: This Division could be very interesting. I know Da Bears are a popular pick with the addition of Cutler, but who is he going to throw the ball to? Vikings have QB instability but who cares who is throwing the ball, they are all about the backfield and they have the best in the business. Vikings win the division again.
NFC West: The luck of the Super Bowl Losers is very low. The chance of a Cards repeat trip is very unlikely. My riskiest pick by far, I think the Singletary-led 49ers will take this division.
NFC South: The Saints. History shows that the loser of the NFC South of one year wins the division the next year. If the Saints defense can become even half-decent, this becomes one of the best teams around.
NFC wildcard #1: Giants. Even without a legitimate vertical threat the Giants remain a contender.
NFC Wildcard #2: Packers: Rodgers is the real deal with numbers to back it up. If the Pack's conversion to the 3-4 defense is successful this team should be a contender. Look for Ryan Grant to make an impact or take a pay cut.
Well, thanks for the responses. I can't understand why anybody would think the Dolphins could win the AFC East this year. They have the toughest schedule in the NFL this year and unlike the Steelers they don't have the ability to overcome that hump. Don't get me wrong, I like what Parcells is doing down there, they are a young, talented team but let's face it the Wildcat worked in one game against the Pats. They could not even use the formation with success for two games against the Pats. Additionally the Pats best cb is probably Leigh Bodden, Ellis Hobbes is with the Eagles now.
AFC East
New England 12-4 (as long as Brady is healthy)
Buffalo Bills 9-7 (T.O. and Evans lead great air attack)
Miami Dolphins 7-9 (hard to live up to last year with hard schedule)

AFC North
Pittsburgh Steelers 12-4 (hard not to pick the super bowl winner)
Baltimore Ravens 8-8 (will miss Ryan on defense)

AFC West
San Diego Chargers 10-6 (good offense in bad defense division)

NFC East
Dallas Cowboys 13-3 (have lot of pressure)
New York Giants 10-6 (need better help to replace Plaxico)
Washington Redskins 8-8 (spent money in off season and need to pay off)

Green Bay Packers 7-9 (better but Rodgers still in Favres Shadow)
Detroit Lions 2-14 (Better then last year)
NFC South

What do you think the results will be! Please be intelligent in your answers!
Oh and feel free to be rude if I rated your team bad! It doesn't bother me!
I've come up with my estimated power rankings for the 2009 NFL season (top 15). I was just wondering what people thought of them, or what they think the power rankings will be like.
1. Baltimore Ravens
- Coming off a strong year, now with an experienced Flacco at the helm. They have re-signed Lewis and Rolle, and they have brought in Foxworth and Carr to strengthen their secondary. There is also talk of a likely trade for Boldin from the Cardinals. I expect to see a second appearance from this team in the AFC Championship game.
2. New England Patriots
- With more or less the same team as their undefeated season in 2007, a recovered Tom Brady, and talk of acquiring Julius Peppers look for the patriots to re-establish themselves as an NFL powerhouse.
3. Tennessee Titans
- After being the top ranked team in the NFL last season and loosing their first playoff game the Titans will be out for revenge. Despite the Steelers winning the superbowl, I expect the Titans to upset the Steelers in the 2009 regular season opener.
4. Pittsburgh Steelers
- There is no doubt that the Steelers are one of the top teams in the NFL as they proved by winning the superbowl. I have them ranked at 4th, not because I feel they will have gotten much worse, but because I feel that last season the Titans were a better team (not being able to keep a close game head to head) and that the Ravens and the Patriots will be stronger teams than last year.
5. New York Giants
- The Giants clearly established themselves as a strong team over the past two years, but I feel that with the loss of Burress this team will become much more one dimensional.
6. San Diego Chargers
- The Chargers proved they are still a strong team by knocking off the Colts in the first round of playoffs. With a recovered Tomlinson and Merriman this team will be stepping their level of play up for this season.
7. Indianapolis Colts
- Throughout the past few years, the Colts have established themselves as on of the NFL's best teams. However, with the loss of Harrison and still a lack of a running game, I feel the Colts won't be quite as strong a team as they have been in past years.
8. Minnesota Vikings
- With one of the top defenses in the league and a running back like Peterson this team, no doubt, has some serious potential. However, with the loss of pro bowl center Matt Birk and a certain lack of a passing game, this team doesn't quite make it in to my top 5 teams.
9. New Orleans Saints
- In my opinion, Drew Brees is one of the best quarterbacks to play in the NFL and lead one of the most explosive offenses in the league. Despite his three best receivers being injured for most of last season (Colston, Shockey and Bush) he still managed to lead the league in passing yards, all three of which are fully recovered for the coming season. However, with the loss of McAllister it is hard to tell whether Bush will step up to be an every-down back or if the running game will suffer.
10. Atlanta Falcons
- With a promising young quarterback, the 2nd best running game in the league last season, and a successful previous season look for this team to only get better.
11. Miami Dolphins
- After an incredible turn around season, I expect them to still be a fairly good team, but not have quite the season they had last year. With a harder schedule and a recovered Patriots team in their division I expect this season to be much more challenging for the Dolphins.
12. Carolina Panthers
- The Panthers proved themselves as a powerful team last season by earning themselves a first round bye in the playoffs. The team has potential with WR Smith and RB Williams, but still does not have a QB that has proven they can lead the team. That coupled with the probable loss of DE Peppers suggest this season will not be quite as successful.
13. Arizona Cardinals
- Despite their playoff success last season, I don't see this team being equally successful this season. The likely loss of Boldin, leaving the team with only one star receiver, will make it easier for opposing defenses to focus on Fitzgerald. Also, for most of the season their defense was not able to step up and do their job well. Their success next season depends on whether the regular season or the playoff Cardinals show up. I don't see the playoff Cardinals coming back.
14. Chicago Bears
- The Bears have generally had a good defense and running game, but had serious issues in the QB position. With a strong QB like Cutler now running the offense, I see this team improving greatly over their performance last season.
15. Dallas Cowboys
- In recent history, Dallas has been packed with potential and put together winning seasons, but failed to really pull it together as a team. Despite the loss of Owens, I expect more of the same from the Cowboys.
Well, we all have teams we love and hate, but let's try notto be biased and make a few predictions on next season
AFC North
Steelers 13-3, easy schedule, back in AFC Championship
Ravens 10-6 Playoffs
Bengals 5-11
Browns 4-12
AFC South
Texans 11-5 Winning their division for first time
Colts 11-5 Playoffs, but no Dungy and unpredictable Manning are factors.
Titans 8-8 Bye, Albert Haynsworth. You will be very missed...
Jaguars 4-12, but the draft can change anything.
AFC East
Patriots 13-3, Where's the competition in this division?
Dolphins 8-8, Most complete team.
Bills 7-9, running back is suspended, T.O will help.
Jets 5-11, Thanks Brett Favre (for nothing).
AFC West
Chargers 13-3, sucks to be Denver.
Raiders 8-8, maybe playoffs
Chiefs 6-10
Broncos 6-10, probably have the worst qb in the division.
NFC North
Vikings 11-5, Adrian Peterson MVP
Bears 10-6, they got 9-7 with Orton, so obviously better with Cutler.
Packers 8-8, maybe even playoffs.
Lions 4-12, improve by 4 whole wins!
NFC East
Eagles 12-4, most complete team
Giants 10-6, if they get a receiver
Cowboys 7-9
Redskins 5-11, uncertainty
NFC South
Falcons 13-3, great rb + qb
Saints 11-5, best qb in the league arguably
Panthers 9-7, will they keep Julius Peppers?
Bucs 4-12, young rebuilding team
NFC West
Seahawks 9-7, 4th pick in draft, good qb
Cardinals 8-8, superbowl hangover
49ers 7-9
Rams 1-15, no need to explain. btw, they'll lose to lions
what do u think ur record will be?
3 games u know u'll probably lose?
3 games u know u'll probably win?
3 games u know will probably be a close finish?
for me (ravens)
record - 11-5
3 games i'll probably lose: steelers, colts, pats
3 games i'll probably win: lions, raiders, browns
3 close games: chargers, steelers, bears
Miami: They have the toughest schedule this year playing their own division, the NFC and AFC South and Pittsburgh and San Diego, I just don't see them screaming playoffs with that kind of schedule. I love Miami, but I am also realistic, I'm no idiot fan.
Houston: A medium schedule, the Jags blow, Titans lost some guys on D, Colts are slowing down as of late, as we saw last year. I see them doing possibly really good this year. I see at least a winning record of 9-7, but being #3 in offense last year, and 22nd in defense, they need that defense to get better, if the D gets better...hey...They are 12-4 the last two years at home, so hey, that part's good, need to win on the road to get playoff picture, and a tough one on he road, I see only three wins on the road, so yeah, 9-7 lol.

NFC North
Packers 10-6
Vikings 8-8 QB?
Bears 6-10 QB?
Lions 4-12 QB?
I think the Panthers are in decline. I think Delhomme is washed up, and Peppers wants out.
I also think the Colts are in decline, but they'll always be in the hunt as long as Peyton Manning is healthy and on top of his game.
I certainly don't see the Miami Dolphins replicating their amazing success of 2008. They play a brutal schedule next year, and Chad Pennington will never take them to the next level.
And lastly, I don't think the Tennessee Titans will have 13 wins again. They will likely lose Haynesworth, and Kerry Collins is not getting any younger. And I don't believe Vince Young is the answer. They may make the playoffs again, but it will be as 10-6 wildcard.
You hope someone takes Manning out?? Seriously? You're obviously not a true football fan. I'm no Colts fan, but Manning is one of those players that makes the NFL fun to follow. You're an @$$hole for making such a statement.
this are their 2009 oponents

i dont know the date of the games because they didnt anounse that
bu i seriously think we can even go undefeted
they dont even play the good teams like the patriots or the colts jajaja
this is a realy easy schedule for the steelrs
they did it last year with the hardest shedule in the nfl and now i bet they have one of the easyest so what do you think
brokeback brady i smell your a crybaby cardinals fan jajajajaja
what the finishing records be who will win
you should all kno the division i'm talking about the NFC West
1. St.Louis Rams (11-5) i honestly think they can do it they have the pieces they jus need to finish the puzzle
2. Seattle Seahawks (10-6) what were the chances of all those injuries last year they'll be back up
3. Arizona Cardinals (8-8) Kurt won't have another miracle year
4. San Francisco 49ers (6-10)
their opponents
Rams: Cards, Seahawks, And 49ers each twice, Green Bay, Vikings, Saints, Texans, Colts, Bears, Lions, Redskins, Jags, Titans. pretty easy schedule if u ask me
Seahawks: of course all teams in division twice, Bears, Lions, Bucs, Jags, Titans, Packers, Vikings, Cowboys, Texans, Colts those
interdivision games r pretty tough (Bucs and the boys)
Cards: the division twice, Packers, Vikings, Panthers, Texans, Colts, Bears, Lions, Giants, Jags, Titans once again interdivision games r tough (panthers and the giants)
49ers: the division 2 times, Bears, Lions, Falcons, Jags, Titans, Packers, Vikings, Eagles, Texans, Colts (not that hard but the 9ers r a bad team in my opinion anyway
i'm a fair person i didn't predict the rams to go 11-5 jus because there my favorite team i think that they have a pretty easy schedule and with signin of spagnuolo will be pretty big this year
the rams will lose to the hawks and cards each once the bears, saints and texans
since there's a lot of questions about the rams predictions
here are the pats and colts schedule tell me what u think there records will be

so whaddya think?
It's always a weird season when an NFC west team is in the superbowl, its like 3 teams from that division agree to suck, and let 1 of the teams there in the superbowl, but this season (especially this playoffs) has been pretty weird....(my top 10 weird NFL MOments this year)
1) a guy throws for 5000 yds and doesnt win mvp...or even get an MVP vote .....weird...how many times does a guy throw like that w/ an injured receiving core and not win mvp??
2) 3 1,000 yard receivers on 1 team........ also weird...u think teams would just not defend the run anymore.
3) Multiple teams over .500 dont make the playoffs, but 2 .500 teams nearly do.
4) This must not be a good year for defense awards either, James harrison won??? He was ok, but he was like 8th on the list, how many int for TD does a safety need to have to win it? (ed reed) How many sacks does another LB have to have to win it (ware) What must a good LB on a bad team need to do (porter, peterson, willis) ??? all had slightly better stats than harrison (overall), (not that it was a horrible pick)
5) Chargers beat the colts in the playoffs?? I wanted the chargers and eagles in the superbowl, but i didnt actually expect them to beat the colts w/O LT???
6) LT will be traded???? He had a 1000 yds....y???
7) I understand how Manning won MVP but how did AP not win it over manning?? (He litterally had to get 100 yds and 1.5 tds a game just to keep them barely winning)
8) Have u seen the steelers schedule?????? How are they even in they playoffs??
9) Cowboys.....did they set the record for most pro-bowlers to not make the playoffs??
10) Easily the lions, They go 0-16 and only fire their gm???(during the season) At what point do u look at your record and say ''lets keep our coach and trade away our second best wideout???...what 0-8. 0-10??? did the want to loose??, Couldnt they have waited till offseason to trade roy??
notables* Referee calls this season and The falcons, miami and titans winning,
I think tom Being healthywould put everything back on track, cuz if he throws 5000 yds regardless of team, you know hes getting mvp, And theyed go 16-0 again so people wouldnt notice how weird the nfl has been all season, just focus on them going 16-0 again.
So....Here come the angry Pat haters!!!
Wickidd..............u scare me, that might be the creepiest insult ....ever.
Orcelin i agree, lets just eliminate the other pesky teams!!
yemmick i could counter all your answers just like you did mine, But well said, it's nice to have a non hatred educated answer, lets see if anyone else can match.
*sry meant yennick
I dont care for either teams, but the steelers had a murderers row schedule to get here playing against division rivals in the ravens twice, then the NFC beast, then just for fun NFL schedulers decided to toss the pats, colts and tenn. to gaurantee the steelers dont make the playoffs and make sure ben has horrible stats........they were half right, steelers are in the playoffs, then they let that horrible NFC west slap box with each other let the cards play good teams and cards lost every one of them.......dallas, NE, car., giant, philly....etc. and yet here they are,...and whats funny is the cards will probly win the superbowl because a better offense will always beat a great defense, and u just dont all of a sudden make a team that puts up 30 a game all of a sudden only put up 14..U could make an argument w/ the pats last year but going into the playoffs they couldnt score and tom was injured in the championship. Maybe im underestimating pittsburg d but y do the cardinals need to run?? I dont see the pittsburg Lb being a factor against 3wr sets i hate the cards, I hate the ''Closet fans'' that dissapeared all season, even when they locked up the division. but with how bad rothlisburger plays in quarters 1-3 by the time he does his 4th qtr comeback the score will be 34-14 i respect the steelers............I wish it was pats vs. eagles superbowl.but honestly how dissapointing would it be if the cardinals win?????, like seriously??
At least if the lions were in the playoffs the fan hood wouldnt be questioned, and will all these card fans be here during the season next year?? I've seen pitt fans all year but i can only name like 3 card fans, and where was fitzgerald when andre johnsonwas getting 200 yds a game?
i think eagles had a better d going into the playoffs than the steelers, so my theory is if eagles d couldnt stop the cards, why would pittsburg? eagles d focuses more on the pass where steelers d focuses more on the run.
But cards cant really run so pitt will obviously shut that down. but i dont think they have the secondary to stop the pass. (as the chargers proved)....maybe on a rookie qb.
What does this question have anything to do with madden '09??
I was looking through the NFL 09 schedule for next season and discovered that for the 3rd straight season the Patriots have to go to Indianapolis.
I just do not understand since this game is every season that the Patriots don't host the Colts every other year?
Thats fine. I just want to know why Indy gets to host New England every single year. I thought they had to rotate because everyone knows the biggest game every year is Pats vs. Colts.
So I know it goes by whoever clinches the divison. But I'm confused on how the playoff games are scheduled. Like one question I have is why didn't the patriots get a chance in the wild card?
Also im confused on the wild card. like why did the chargers have to play the colts? was it because of the colts poor record? why didn't the colts just play the ravens?
Maybe im confused on the seeds?
I see Pats fans, Cowboys fans and Colts fans crying about the apparent "unfairness" of the NFL playoff setup. I don't cry that the Giants had the hardest schedule in the NFL, that they play in the most powerful division in the NFL or even that their division is in the more powerful of the two conferences do I? The NFL has always been this way. Sometimes it works for you, sometimes it works against you. I think it's perfectly fair. What do you think?
Jason K - The Colts fans aren't happy about having to play at Qualcomm Stadium. A few on here have expressed that sentiment.
ATLDirty - You're half right. The problem with the NFC East is that the teams tend to chew on each other. The Falcons were a great story this year but had a weak schedule and got hot near the end, which is a great thing. I'd say the East and South are about even, but there's no way I'd say another division is stronger than the East this year. It was thought that all the wildcards would be from the East earlier this season.
... a guaranteed Winner !?!!!!!!!!
From about 65 people, 7 remain. I had been forecasting the Saints as my pick if I got this far - but I thought they'd still be in playoff contention -- now they have nothing to play for except pride --- and the Lions have history to play for - as in they-don't-want-to-make-history by being the first 0-16 team ever ... the game is in Detroit and New Orleans is 1-6 on the road this year - still, it will be a clean indoor track and the Saints have the best offense around - plus ten days to rest and prepare, which mitigates the second-road-game-in-a-row factor
... then there are the hot Texans - can they keep it running against the Raiders out in Oakland? they're definitely the team playing it's best ball -- but like the others, they're eliminated from this year's playoff contention
Who would you pick - and why ?
The teams I can not pick are listed below, followed by the complete week 16 schedule
thanks!
Arizona Cardinals
Buffalo Bills
Carolina Panthers
Chicago Bears

This is a last man standing or 'suicide' league - I have already used 14 teams this year - we can only use each team once - in my estimation this is the toughest of the remaining three weeks - there appears to be some mismatches to take advantage of in weeks 16 and 17 IF IF IF I can get there - I need a WINNER in week 15 to move on - here are the 18 teams I have left to choose from, in no particular order:
Green Bay Packers
Atlanta Falcons
St Louis Rams
Baltimore Ravens
New England Patriots
Cleveland Browns
Oakland Raiders
Minnesota Vikings
Kansas City Chiefs
Denver Broncos
Houston Texans
Seattle Seahawks
San Francisco 49ers
Tampa Bay Buccanneers
Cincinnati Bengals
Detroit Lions
Jacksonville Jaguars
New Orleans Saints
I'll try to paste in the schedule below -- as you'll see - there are some good teams left - like Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Atlanta and Tampa Bay - but they're playing each other ... so here's the schedule - I only have 11 hours to make my pick - any insight is appreciated ...
NFL
Thursday, December 11
CHICAGO BEARS 3 New Orleans Saints 44A?

NFL
Monday, December 15
PHILADELPHIA EAGLES 14 Cleveland Browns 38A?
I'd have to go something like this
1.New York Giants (10-1) Undisputed, best team in the NFL right now
2.Pittsburgh Steelers (8-3) Best defense I've seen since the 2000 Ravens
3.Arizona Cardinals (7-4) Only lost by a touchdown to the Giants
4.Baltimore Ravens (7-4) As a Steeler fan, the ravens scare me. This team is on a roll winning 5 of there last 6
5.New York Jets (8-3) Although they beat the Titans, they weren't that good to begin with, Can I say overrated?
6.Tennessee Titans (10-1) Still in control of the AFC South
7.Dallas Cowboys (7-4) They're back.
8.Atlanta Falcons (7-4) Can Matt Ryan be the best Rookie QB to ever play in the NFL?
9.Tampa Bay Buccanneers (8-3) Have had an easy schedule this year, I'll put em at 7th but they can be overrated.
10.Indianapolis Colts (7-4?) Have won 3 straight and are on a roll
Hey Jet fan, get off Brett Favres jock and learn english, your team is overrated.
Remember when the Jets lost to the Raiders? Lmfao
AFC East
Jets 11-5
If Brett Favre keeps playing like he has the past two games, they'll win the division for sure.
Dolphins 10-6
The Dolphins had played well on both sides of the ball.
Patriots 9-7
Matt Cassel is stepping it up, but we haven't seen as much of the running game, so i don't think they will go 10-6.
Bills 8-8
They went 4-1 the first five games, and 1-4 the next five games. They've taken a slide because Trent Edwards has had turnover problems.
AFC North
Steelers 12-4
This team is a super bowl caliber team.
Ravens 10-6
If the Ravens don't play like they did against the Giants, they'll get a wild card spot.
Browns 7-9
Brady Quinn has played very well, but the defense has not.
Bengals 2-13-1
Ryan Fitzpatrick has begun to get better, but this team does not have much of anywhere to go from here.
AFC South
Titans 16-0
I may sound crazy, but there really is no one to stop them. Except for the super bowl, which I believe will be against the Giants.
Colts 9-7
This Colts team is a little dissappointing compared to last year. They almost lost to the Texans twice.
Jaguars 6-10
This team hasn't been dominating like last year.
Texans 5-11
The only games that sound winnable from here on out are the Oakland game and maybe the Cleveland game.
AFC West
Broncos 9-7
Since the beginning of the season, this defense has been choking, but the offense has pulled through.
Chargers 8-8
I hope this team can pull it together and win a number of games, but the chance of that happening is a little rare. Them being unsuccessful this year is probably because of L.T. not being as good.
Raiders 3-13
The only team they might be able to beat is Kansas City, but that might not happen either.
Chiefs 2-14
If they can beat the Raiders or Bengals, they will obtain this record.
NFC East
Giants 15-1
My favorite team. These guys are on a role. Their schedule is not very tough, but this running game is. Also, notice this: The Giants have scored 30 or more points in each of the past three games.
Redskins 10-6
This team has the balanced attack of accurate Jason Campbell and Clinton Portis, who is having a pro bowl year.
Eagles 9-6-1
Guys, give Donovan McNabb a rest. I don't like this team very much, but I really do not appreciate its fans dogging McNabb over last week's tie.
Cowboys 9-7
This team's midseason losses have costed it the playoffs.
NFC North
Packers 10-6
The Packers have an easy schedule, and Aaron Rodgers is a great quarterback.
Bears 9-7
Kyle Orton's absence costed this team, but I don't exactly think it will cost them the playoffs. This team is pretty good.
Vikings 8-8
These guys just might be able to do better than I say if Adrian Peterson keeps it up, but mistakes earlier in the season have left a mark on this team.
Lions 0-16
They have a tough schedule ahead, but besides that, did anybody see my predictions from earlier where I said they'd go 3-13?
1. I gave them WAY too much credit.
2. One guy praised them and said I'd eat my words by the end of the season and they'd go 11-5. Yeah, sure they will. I bet he's crying (sorry), they're 0-10.
NFC South
Panthers 12-4
This is their year. I expect them to win a playoff game or two.
Buccaneers 11-5
This whole division is better than last year. I am not sure about this team with Earnest Graham, but they are doing great.
Falcons 10-6
Matt Ryan is contending for rookie of the year, and he just may get this team into the playoffs. Also, don't forget about Michael Turner and Jerious Norwood.
Saints 8-8
The Saints have an ultimate offense and a horrible defense.
NFC West
Cardinals 11-5
The Cardinals have a powerful offense with Kurt Warner, but the running game might not be as good without Edgerrin James.
49ers 4-12
The 49ers should probably just get ready for next year. The GM needs to pick up some good defensive players so that Mike Singletary can mold them into great players.
Seahawks 3-13
Matt Hasselbeck is not doing well, and Mike Holmgren needs to stop being a lame duck coach (sorry).
Rams 2-14
I see nothing in this defense or this offense.
Please comment on my reviews, tell me which team is your favorite, and suggest records for any teams that you disagree with me on. Or, simply agree with what I said.
I dont have local channels so I dont have the Bears games on sunday, I watch them with my Grandpa on Sundays, he has cable. The Dec. game with Jacksonville on CBS will not be on tv. I live on the border of Illinois and Indiana so the Colts are on instead of the Bears.
Giants: A- The giants are the most complete team in football. Their pass rush is relentless and Eli Manning is clutch
Redskins: B- Clinton Portis is running wild and their defense is stout. They need to score more points though.
Eagles: B- The Eagles are a solid football team. They just have to stay healthy and finish games(they should have a better record)
Cowboys: C- The Cowboys have underachieved, but they have had major injuries. Their defense must improve quickly.
Panthers: A- The Panthers are very good and get it done on both sides of the ball.
Buccanears: B+ The Bucs are good but they need to show up evey week and not let inferior teams(Chiefs) compete with them
Falcons: B- Mike Ryan and Mike Smith and Micheal Turner have turned this team around
Saints: C+ Drew Brees is excellent and the offense is stellar. They need to play defense and stay healthy, they are much better than their record.
Bears: B- Kyle Orton has steeped up. The defense needs to play better.
Packers: C+ Aaron Rogers is smooth and accurate. But until they run and stop the run they will struggle to win.
Vikings: C The Vikings are inconsistent but on the best day they can beat anybody(they beat Carolina)
Lions: F- I hope they don't go 0-16
Cardinals: B+- They will win the NFC West
The Rams, Seahwaks and 49ers all get a D
Broncos: B- Jay Cutler and the offense are great but their defense MUST step up, they can win the divison if they statrt stopping teams.
Chargers: C- The Chargers are offensively sound, but they can't play defense either. They better pick it up now.
Raiders: F- Jarmarcus Russell is not ready for the NFL.
Chiefs: D- They beat Denver, and they have shown heart in the last 3 weeks.
Steelers: A For this team to be 6-2 with the brutal schedule they have is amazing. Solid team. But they do have to keep Big Ben healthy to make a serious run
Ravens: B+ The defense is killer just like Pittsburgh. Joe Flacco is showing poise
Browns: C- Hopefully Brady Quinn get spark their inconsistent offense
Bengals: D- THEY GOT A WIN! LOL!
Titans: A+ This team is spectacular. Run game. Defense. They have it going. 8-0
Colts: C+ The Colts have fought through injuries and pulled some wins off. They better find a run game if they want to make the playoffs
Jaguars: D- They lost to the Bengals. Enough said.
Texans: C+- Nice Offense, too bad there is not much of anything else.
Patriots: B+ They are hanging in there without Brady. They need to stay healthy.
Jets: B- Brett Frave has made this team better but they need to run the ball for more sucess.
Bills: B- They started the season well, they better finish well especially in the division.
Dolphins: B+ The Dolphins are much improved and have taken care of buisness in the division
Now we all know the Tennesse Titans are 8-0 but have they really been tested? Of the teams they have played this season, the combined records of those teams are 25-40, which is the worst in the league. The titans have argueably the best defence in the NFL and a top 3 running game with a great offensive line. They have pretty good corners and I think finnigan should be a probowler.
Their defense looks great and their always in the game. I think collins doesn't make mistakes. If there is any weakness in that team it has to be the WRs. With the likes of an upincoming WR Brandon Jones and time Collins has in the pocket that might not be a factor. The Titans look very good and deserveful of 8-0.
They had the 5th hardest schedule coming into the season but the Jags, Colts, Vikings don't look nearly the same as last year. The Packers gave them a close game last week but I think thats it and they are on pace for 16-0.
The only thing about Titans is that they don't face the likes of Giants, Redskins, Eagles, Cowboys(healthy), Panthers, Saints, Bucs, Falcons, Cardinals, Dolphins, Bills, Pats, Broncos, or Chargers. Are they really untested? Maybe .... I mean look at those teams...
The steelers are 5-1 right now losing only to the eagles in the final seconds. They have the #1 Overall and Pass Defense and are #2 in rush defense. They also have the hardest schedule in the NFL (Fact). Every show I watch...ESPN, NFL network....No one ever says anything on how good they are. All the talk about is Dallas, Colts, and the Chargers. Why aren't they noticed? Your thoughts please...
I go to school at Indiana University Bloomington, but I'm from Chicago. I know I won't get all of them, but I'd like to know when I can watch the Bears games. How do I figure out which ones are available to me? When I check the game schedules on NFL.com or whichever, it always just says FOX regional. I know that the Colts are the regional team here, but their games are always on CBS anyway. How do I know which games my regional channel will be showing each week? I guess that is my overall question..is there a website where I can look?
I took a look at the Broncos schedule and they play way easier teams then the Chargers and that makes me mad because Hochuli gave them a free win and now they can easily win the AFC West at probably 12-4 or 13-3 as they visit like every crappy team in the NFL while the Chargers have the Steelers and Colts on their schedule. Oh well at least heading into the playoffs the Chargers will beat the Broncos and be hoy while being an under the radar team in the wild card games.
On CBS at the beginning of the Colts/Vikings game on screen there was an explanation of why the Seahawks /49ers game (2nd of the double header) was not going to be shown. It said that it was not going to be shown because the Seahawks stadium (Quest Field) was sold out. Why are we not able to show sold out games. Is it NFL rules or just CBS and why does it make a difference? I would think that it would be more apt to be shown.
